What is the average cost of an airbnb wedding in western north carolina?
It totally depends. Some are only a couple hundred a night and others are closer to $400+ a night with a three night minimum.
How do I know if an airbnb would be good for an elopement or wedding?
First you need to make sure that the host actually allows elopements or weddings. Even if the listing states “no parties,” it’s worth reaching out and seeing if they’d allow a small elopement of just the two of you, an officiant, your photographer, and another witness (makeup artists, videographers, etc.) Can’t find an airbnb that fits your needs for an elopement location? Here are my top 30 places to elope in North Carolina.
Asheville
What makes this location great: Pisgah Highlands isn’t just one airbnb, it’s multiple all situated along a road that was initially created to be a subdivision on a mountain. Each airbnb option is unique. There’s an off grid cabin, tiny home with a hammock off the back porch, a shipping container cabin, traditional cabin by a creek, greenhouse aframe for camping, & a treehouse.
Important things to note: There is limited cell service & AWD or 4WD are needed to access the airbnbs. All but the aframe allow dogs. If there is snow, the host does cancel reservations (with a full refund) because the road is impassable, so spring, summer & fall bookings are recommended. These airbnbs are suitable for couple only elopements.
2. Twin Willows
What makes this location great: Twin Willows has multiple dwellings so that everyone at a small wedding has a place to stay the night. There’s a cute little chapel & a separate reception space as well. They even have two options for an outdoor cocktail hour.
Important things to note: A three night stay is required for all weddings here.

3. Mount Airy Farm
4. King Lodge
5. The GLass House
6. Blue Ridge Mtn Modern House
7. Laurel Falls (not technically an airbnb, but a small venue with cabins available to rent)
8. Mountain Top Mansion
9. Cherokee Mountain View Home
10. Earth Sky Dwellings
11. Ridgeview
12. Fairview Home
Hot Springs
What makes this location great: The Heavens Venue has a beautiful view of the mountains. There’s two separate cabins so getting ready separately and not seeing each other until the ceremony is easy to achieve.
Important things to note: Ceremony and reception are completely outdoors. Parking is also limited so I’d only recommend this location if your guest count is small. Some package options include seating & tables.
Old Fort & Black Mountain
What makes this location great: Little Mountain Aframe is great for couples wanting a woodsy backdrop for their elopement. In the fall, the leaves are stunning shades of yellow, orange and red. In the winter though, you get a beautiful view of the mountains through the trees on the back deck. The hosts have created the best little oasis, making it feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere when you’re actually only a few minutes from a brewery, cafes, grocery store, and lots of beautiful hiking trails.
Important things to note: The hosts do not release the entire year of dates ahead of time and instead choose to release them a few months at a time. If you book me & want to elope here (or even just stay here and elope somewhere else with me as your photographer) let me know & I can see if the hosts will book you further in advance. I’ve got connections. 😉 This location won’t be an option forever as the hosts do plan on moving into the house full time within the next few years.

Boone
What makes this location great: Can you tell I love aframe cabins? Ha! This one is so cute! The inside is bright and sunny & has a boho style. They just added a swing to the back deck.
Important things to note: In the winter you might need 4WD. This location is also really close to some awesome spots on the Blue Ridge Parkway if you wanted photos with mountain views as well as the cabin.
Brevard
What makes this location great: This Airbnb sits on top of a secluded mountain & feels like it was built to be a ceremony spot. There’s a rock patio, a staircase and flower trellis tunnel that makes the perfect aisle, & there’s benches you can move for your closest family and friends to witness your ceremony. There’s a back deck, spacious kitchen and living area, and bedrooms as well as bathrooms on opposite sides of the house so that each partner can get ready without running into each other.
Important things to note: There is a $1000 event fee.

Planning your airbnb Elopement
Finding the perfect airbnb for your elopement or wedding can be tough! Here are some of my best tips.
- Make sure the inside of the airbnb gets good bright light, especially if you want getting ready photos inside.
- Book an airbnb that has space inside for a ceremony. This will ensure there’s a backup plan in case of bad weather.
- Even if you aren’t planning on eloping at your airbnb, choose one that would look nice for your ceremony just in case plans need to change.
